Well, to begin with, I am Sourav Ravish, currently an engineering undergraduate at Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University(BHU), Varanasi.
To describe myself, I am an avid traveler and an aspiring travel writer possessing a genuine deep love for photography and of course, riding.
I have been traveling whereever I can, whenever I can, for almost three year of my life in this college now. If I sit to jot down the places I have been to in all this time, that would be something like this – Hyderabad, Gangtok, Allahabad, Lucknow, Vaishno Devi, Bodh Gaya, Malana, Rajgir, Renukoot, Darjeeling, Kasol, Tosh, Guwahati, Manali, New Delhi, Goa, Mumbai, Lonavala-Khandala, Vishakhapatnam, Pondicherry, Coorg, Bangalore, Mysore, Tawang, Agra, Dalhousie, Kheer Ganga, Dharamshala and some of them twice!
Now, to support the statement about my love for riding- In these three years, I have ridden a Royal Enfield Classic 350 for more than 7000 kilometres (and counting) on every terrain there is. which apparently was my dream since I first rode this machine.
I have asked myself a number of times this – “Why do I write?”. To which I haven’ still got the answer but the best answer for now would be- I write to bring a change, a change that is so required in our society. to make people aware of the western nomadic culture that people have no idea exists, to demystify the common myths about traveling which restrict them to their spontaneous lives.
I want to explore the backpacking culture as much as I can and let the people of our society know that there is a whole community of digital nomads out there who are following their passion for traveling and even getting paid for the same.
I wish, through my writings, someday somewhere somebody gets inspired and that day my purpose will be fulfilled.
“To travel is to live”
